During the hot months, seven old, large oak trees, including a few pecans, provide a high canopy that allows for breeze and gives this heavenly backyard cover from the sun. And a stone fire pit invites you outside during the cold ones.
Mowing the property is straightforward: bagging or mulching works well, yielding similar results. Wait until it’s a dry day and nearly all of the leaves are on the ground, then make an afternoon of raking or blowing.
